MATCHA

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • 16 oz hot water
  • 2 oz milk of your choice I like oatmilk or almond milk with a splash of nutpods
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  • Heat milk and froth. Set aside.
  • Add matcha to mug
  • Add 1 tbsp water
  • Using a handheld frother mix water and matcha until lumps are gone and the matcha powder and water have formed a paste. Add a small amount of more water if needed, usually just a drop or two.
  • Add remaining water and honey
  • Use frother to mix well
  • Top with frothed mik
  • ENJOY!!

Notes

I like to use a large latte mug with high sides and a handheld frother to make my morning matcha. Alternately you can use a bamboo matcha whisk and a small bowl.
To make your matcha using the whisk and bowl method, follow steps 1-4 of the instructions and then transfer to a mug before finishing the remaining steps.
