This trail mix hits all the right notes…salty, sweet, crunchy, it’s perfection! I especially like the sweet tartness of the dried cherries combined with the chocolate chunks, it’s a match made in heaven. We love to take it on road trips or to take as a snack on a hike.I usually have all the ingredients on hand to snack on separately. Raw almonds, check. Banana chips, check. Dried Cherries, check. Chocolate chunks and pistachios, check and check. When I want to make a batch of this trail mix all I have to do is go in the pantry and put it all together and there you have it. Having the ingredients really came in handy for teacher appreciation week last year. It was “bring in a treat” day and I had completely forgotten. Without any time to run to the store I opened the pantry hoping I could find something to salvage the day when the idea for the trail mix popped into my head. Flash forward to a few weeks later when I ran into Scotties and she couldn’t stop raving about what a perfect combination the ingredients were and had to know where I got the chocolate chunks. My Go-To Trail Mix

Servings: 2 cups


  • 2/3 c raw almonds
  • 1/3 c banana chips
  • 1/3 c dried cherries
  • 1/3 c semi sweet chocolate chunks I LOVE using Enjoy Life Foods Chocolates!!
  • 2 tbsp shelled pistachios


  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl and store in an airtight container
